Unity Animator (Contract)

Overview

We at AstroBeam are looking for a skilled and self motivated contract Unity Animator. In this role, you will add, edit, and create sound effects for our new game. While AstroBeam is based out of Austin, TX, this is a remote role within the US.


Responsibilities

  • Creating and implementing unique character animations

  • Testing and Debugging animations in VR

  • Editing and working within Unity’s animation system

  • Randomizing animations for characters

Requirements

  • General understanding of Unity animator system (Animation layer, Blend tree and Substate machines)

  • Understanding of general performance optimization for game animation pipeline

  • Strong communication skills for working with a remote team

Bonus

  • Dynamic gameplay animations

  • Rigging experience

  • IK animation

  • Maya
